This includes: the publication of a new issue; the submissions window opening/closing; details of the conference and, occasionally, carefully selected news items from our supporting institutions, namely Lancaster University and Bath Spa University. We do not sell our mailing list to third parties. Most of our reviewers have a specialist interest in writing for young people demonstrated by a research degree (MRes, MPhil or PhD) or a significant body of work as a practitioner. They are people who read scholarly work carefully and critically, but with a view to encouraging the next generation of writers and thinkers. We never ask reviewers to read more than two submissions a year. To express your interest in the role, email LeafJournal@bathspa.ac.uk ## Internship Opportunities We are looking for two people to help us with the running of the annual conference. These are voluntary roles (as are all roles at Leaf Journal). We are looking for: - A person to help run our social media (X and Instagram). We anticipate this would be around 1 hour a week between mid-July and mid-Oct, then more intensively on the two days of the conference. You would need to schedule posts and interact with followers. - A person to help chair panels on 24th and 25th October. Each panel will have 3-4 panellists. You would be required to watch the papers, prepare and ask questions, and chair the Q&A. To apply: Please send a short CV and a cover email to LeafJournal@bathspa.ac.uk. Your cover email should include what you can offer us but also (and just as importantly) what you want to gain from the role you are applying for. We want to be sure we are a good fit for you, as well as vice versa. Deadline for application: 31st May, 5pm (UK time).
